Techmart
In the present sceanario of the High Volume and High Productivity being achieved by the Indian Foundry Industry, the major bottleneck has become the Fettling Operations. Sufficient attention has not been paid and resources invested in improving the efficiency, the ergnomics and the effectiveness of the Fettling operations. This has resulted in major pile ups of inventory and in not being able to meet delivery deadlines. Further the shortage of Labor has also adversely affected the operations along with a spiralling of costs. Going forward in the future the available pool of workers will reduce drastically and immediate attention is required by the industry.
In order to give some insights on the various technologies available and to present possible solutions the Techmart in the IFC 2012 will focus on the Fettling Operations. This Techmart Session will benefit the entire Foundry fraternity irrespective of the size and scope of operations.
