ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Institute Objectives & Key Activities

The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) was set up in 1950 to promote education, research, training & development to foundrymen and to serve as a node to highlight its views & concerns at the appropriate forums.

The IIF has its head office in Kolkata & 4 regional offices at Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai & Chennai and 27 branches across the country. The IIF is a member of World Foundry Organization (WFO) and World Foundry Association (WFA).

IIF boasts a strong membership base comprising of foundry units, equipment manufacturers, raw material suppliers, research organizations, academic institutes, and individual foundry professionals.

The Institute publishes a monthly journal "Indian Foundry Journal" which is widely circulated to its members. The journal covers technical papers, market trends, updates on new technologies, and activities of the IIF.

The IIF also organizes national & international conferences, seminars, workshops, and exhibitions to facilitate knowledge exchange, business connections, and global collaboration.
